Higher Education Strategy
Summary:
The higher education sector has made a positive contribution to the cultural and economic life in Northern Ireland. It is diverse in its provision with a reputation for excellence in teaching, learning and research. However, there are a number of distinct and difficult challenges ahead that the sector needs to face. This Strategy now complements the Success Through Skills: Transforming Futures Strategy , which was launched last year, and the Further Education Means Business Strategy in demonstrating the Department’s integrated approach to providing skills, supporting people and contributing to the creation of jobs.
