Reconsideration of the Further Education Strategy

Summary:

The Department for Employment and Learning is considering its strategy for the statutory Further Education (FE) sector. Given the importance of this sector in the social and economic fabric of Northern Ireland it will consult widely on the different elements of the strategy. The first area of consideration, which will underpin the rest of the study, is the role of the statutory FE sector. A consultation paper, which seeks to gain as wide a consensus as possible on the role of the statutory FE sector, was launched 5 November 2002.
