Consultation on Bridge to Employment Programme

Summary:

Under Section 75(1) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, the Department for Employment and Learning is required, in carrying out its functions to promote equality of opportunity among all groups specified in that section The Department in pursuance of this objective is now embarking on a key part of this process by undertaking an Equality Impact Assessment of its Bridge to Employment Programme. This involves consulting widely with those organisations/individuals having an interest in the Programme, particularly those who represent the various Section 75 groups. This consultation document can be viewed at 'associated files' - please see below. A consultation paper on the Bridge to Employment Programme was launched on 21 August 2003 and the consultation period will last until 28 November 2003.
