Public consultation on extending dispute resolution legislation to cover additional employment rights jurisdictions
Summary:
In April 2005, new procedures designed to help employers and employees resolve disputes in the workplace were introduced. The Department consulted from July-October 2006 on a small extension of these procedures to cover three additional areas of employment rights law ("jurisdictions"). The effect of the proposed regulations would be to make complaints relating to certain types of employee representative subject to the existing dispute resolution procedures. Consultation closed on 27th October 2006 and a response has been published.
