Draft Special Educational Needs and Disability (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (Amendment) (Further and Higher Education) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006

Summary:

The Department for Employment and Learning is seeking views from interested parties on the above Regulations which will amend the Special Educational Needs and Disability (Northern Ireland) Order 2005. The new proposed Regulations will bring the EU Employment Directive (Council Directive 2000/78/EC) fully into effect for the disability strand in respect of vocational training in the further and higher education sectors.A consultation document containing the draft Regulations, explanatory notes on how the Regulations would apply, and response form was launched on 30th March 2006. Consultation Period runs until: 21st June 2006.
