Work and families: choice and flexibility - consultation on regulations and policy

Summary:

Part I of this public consultation seeks your views on the detail of regulations to be made under the proposed Work and Families (Northern Ireland) Order. The regulations deal with the extension of maternity and adoption leave and of the right to request flexible working arrangements. Part II of the consultation seeks views on the policy underpinning the proposed right to additional paternity pay and leave. The consultation contains integrated impact assessments in relation to the proposals. Consultees may wish to reply to either Part of the consultation or to both; in either case, responses should be with the Department no later than 30th June 2006.
