Changes to Recruitment Industry Law and Related Guidance - a consultation
Summary:
The Department is responsible for legislation governing the NI recruitment industry, i.e. the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) (NI) Order 1981 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations (NI) 2005 (“the 2005 Conduct Regulations”). The legislation protects the interests of those using agency services, both work-seekers and hirers and is enforced by the Department through a programme of inspections and complaints investigations. The Department is proposing a number of changes to the 2005 Conduct Regulations and related guidance, the main aim of which is to protect vulnerable work-seekers, such as migrant workers. The consultation closes on 24 September 2007
