Public access to documents held by institutions of the European Community - A review

Summary:

The Commission has published this Green Paper in response to its commitment to review Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 (Access to Documents) as set out in the "European Transparency Initiative" launched by the Commission on 9 November 2005. The European Parliament also called on the Commission to put forward proposals for amending Access to Documents regulation. Consultation closes on 2nd July 2007.
