Flexible Working and Time to Train

Summary:

The Department is seeking the public's views on proposed measures designed to help working families balance responsibilities at home with those at work and to ensure that their skills are updated to meet today's rapidly changing working environment. The consultation is asking for your views on two key issues: (1).the proposal to extend the right to request flexible working and (2). a proposed new right to give employees in Northern Ireland the right to request time to train. Consultation closes 23 October 2009.
