The purpose of this consultation is to seek views on the proposal by the Department for Employment and Learning (the Department) to bring forward legislation to exempt publicly funded student loans from Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs), ensuring consistency in the treatment of student loans with that for bankruptcy.
