Summary:
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in Great Britain issued a call for evidence seeking views from interested parties on the effectiveness of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (the “TUPE Regulations”), and how they might be improved, if at all. Some provisions of the TUPE Regulations apply on a UK-wide basis. The Department for Employment and Learning therefore issued the call for evidence in Northern Ireland, and requested views from interested parties on the TUPE Regulations and on the related Service Provision Change (Protection of Employment) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006, by the closing date of Tuesday 31 January 2012.
