The network of 35 Jobs and Benefits offices and JobCentres offer a range of vacancy services for you. These include advertising, recruitment events, sifting applications and interview facilities. You can also advertise your vacancy online by using employersonlineni.com.

Here, employers can submit and manage vacancies online and receive applications from potential employees which can be managed in one place through a user friendly interface. The Disablility Employment Service offers help to employers who want to recruit and retain people with a disability. There is no direct cost to the employer for these services.

Are you looking for careers advice?

The Careers Service website provides a host of information, advice and contacts to help people of all ages make informed career decisions. It contains many interactive features and a number of multi-media resources that will enable users to explore fully the range of careers available. It also provides details of all Careers Advisers throughout Northern Ireland.

Youth Employment Scheme

The Youth Employment Scheme is designed to give you help and support in looking for permanent work if you are unemployed and between the ages of 18 to 24 years old.

Employment Service Support

Employment Service Support (ESS) is a voluntary programme which offers a number of different choices around work related activities that can be tailored to suit your needs when it comes to finding you employment. It will operate from June 2014 to March 2015.

Employer Subsidy

The Employer Subsidy is a package of assistance available to those employers recruiting eligible clients. The Employer Subsidy is available for up to 26 weeks and is dependent on the employer recruiting an eligible client.

Local Employment Intermediary Service

The Local Employment Intermediary Service (LEMIS)is an initiative designed to help unemployed people in the community overcome those issues that may be preventing them from finding and keeping a job. The service is provided by local community employment organisations in the Belfast area, Derry, Strabane, Newry and Mourne, Cookstown and Moyle District Council areas.

In addition to these areas LEMIS is also available on a referral /outreach basis throughout Northern Ireland to individuals with a common employability barrier to employment, that is, young peole (16 to 24) not in education, employment or training (NEET), homeless, ex-offenders/ex-prisoners, individuals with a history of drug/alcohol misuse and care leavers.
