What does Steps to Work offer employers?
The economic downturn has had a significant impact on the labour market in Northern Ireland, resulting in large numbers of people losing their jobs. This presents a major challenge but also a significant opportunity. The challenge is to ensure that work skills are not lost through long periods of unemployment; while the opportunity is there for you, as an employer, to help those out of work retain their skills and in turn help your business take full advantage of the economic recovery.
It is not possible to deliver on this challenge or to avail of the opportunities without the participation and co-operation of Employers across all sectors of business.
How do I get involved?
You can get involved by:

- offering a job to someone who is out of work and getting a subsidy for 6 months - Employer Subsidy
- if you are an employer interested in offering a Graduate a 6 month work placement you may want to find out more about the Graduate Acceleration Programme
Where can you get more information?
