Further and Higher Education
Whether you have just left school or no matter what stage you are at in life, you can enter into further education or higher education.
There are numerous opportunities available; either
- full-time or part-time courses;
- vocational;
- recreational; or
- degree level.
You can study in Northern Ireland at one of the following:
- 6 new larger area colleges in Northern Ireland;
- Queen’s University Belfast;
- University of Ulster;
- The Open University
- Stranmillis College ;
- St Mary’s College ; or
- at university or college in Great Britain.
Alternatively, if you decide to stay on at school or go to college from September 2005, you may be able to get an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
