Investors in People / National Training Awards
The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to help employers inprove performance by linking people development and skills acquisition to the specific aims and objectives of their businesses, to assess and improve the performance of their employees.
The National Training Awards (NTA) provide a framework for benchmarking the training of organisations and individuals and a sharing of stories that demonstrates that learning pays.
Acquiring one can help with the acquisition of the other. Organisations who have achieved IiP may be encouraged to apply for a National Training Award because of something special about some element of their learning journey. Similarly, an organisation winning a NTA for a particular training programme may be encouraged to seek further recognition for their approach to learning and development within the organisation as a whole.
