NOW Project

NOW ProjectThe NØW Project has helped 124 people with learning difficulties gain qualifications and supported them into jobs.

The people participating on the course were working at Pre-entry Level, may have had poor literacy and numeracy skills and were outside the recognised National Curriculum Standards of Essential Skills levels.  The learners were aged 16 to 65, had varied learning disabilities, were economically inactive, had no previous training or qualifications and had poor confidence and social skills.

NØW armed them with the qualifications and prepared them for work – how to search for jobs, how to behave appropriately at work, to travel to and from work safely and how to manage money.

The project was exceptionally successful and 124 people have gained nationally accredited qualifications which have enhanced their career prospects, putting them on the road to being economically active.
