New Deal programme continues to grow

Since the launch of the New Deal programme in April 1998, it has attracted just over 141,000 participants across Northern Ireland.

These are the latest statistics from the Department for Employment and Learning, which were released today.  

Two statistical bulletins were released:

(1) New Deal for 18 to 24 Year Olds in Northern Ireland: Statistics from April 1998 to March 2007.  The bulletin indicates that since its launch in April 1998 to March 2007, there have been 67,322 participants on this programme.  

(2) New Deal 25+ in Northern Ireland: Statistics from June 1998 to March 2007.  This bulletin indicates that since its launch in June 1998 to March 2007, 73,958 have participated in this programme.
