Minister announces appointment to the governing body of South Eastern Regional College

Employment and Learning Minister, Sir Reg Empey, today announced the appointment of Mrs. Heather Farley to the governing body of South Eastern Regional College.
Mrs. Farley is currently Head of the Department of Management, within the Ulster Business School at the University of Ulster, a post which she has held since 2008 in both an acting and now permanent capacity. Mrs. Farley joined the University of Ulster in 1992 and has gained significant administrative, management and leadership experience during her career and is a Reader in Teaching and Learning (from 2008).
The governing body of South Eastern Regional College is responsible for securing the efficient and effective management of the college, agreeing and monitoring its strategic direction, appointing the college’s senior staff and ensuring that the college acts as a responsible employer. The appointment will be for a period of four years from 18 January 2010 to 17 January 2014. The position is not remunerated.
