The report provides a valuable insight into the delivery of Essential Skills training and has revealed a number of important themes that will be critical to the continued success of Essential Skills.
The research links well with the Department’s Skills Strategy and will dictate future planning of Essential Skills training. In particular it will help inform the work of the Skills Expert Group which has been established to advise government on the process of identifying skills needs and to make recommendations on the steps required to meet those needs.
