Bridge to Employment

This programme provides assistance to inward investment companies and local companies who are taking on new staff.  The Programme helps with vacancy advertising, customised training of unemployed people to the job requirements and other associated recruitment services at no cost to the employer.

Funding

The Department fully fund the costs of the recruitment process and the training programme.

How it works

There are 6 steps in the Bridge to Employment Programme:

  1. Discussion with employer and Skills Adviser
  2. Agreement to run Programme
  3. Advertising
  4. Recruitment to Training
  5. Training
  6. Interview for Employment

This programme is open to any employer needing to recruit staff.  The average number of participants on a Bridge to Employment programme is 10 however programmes can be arranged for one company or a group of companies with similar needs.
