Final Report -Research into the impact of an additional two days statutory leave entitlement for workers in Northern Ireland.

Summary:

This report has been prepared on the basis of fieldwork and research carried out up to May 2009. This included desk research, a telephone survey of business, consultation with key stakeholders and an economic impact assessment. On the basis of this paper the NI Executive has agreed to retain the current annual statutory leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks. The Department for Employment and Learning intends to review the position in two years time, to take account of any potential economic recovery.
