Information and Consultation in the workplace - a guide
Summary:
The European Information and Consultation Directive, which established new minimum standards for workforce communication and involvement, was implemented in Northern Ireland by the Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations (NI) 2005. From 6 April 2008 the Regulations affect businesses with 50 or more employees. The attached booklet provides general guidance on the Information and Consultation Regulations. Copies of the legislation are available from Her Majesty's Stationery Office and may be accessed from their website at www.hmso.gov.uk
