Information and Consultation in the workplace - a summary
Summary:
The European Information and Consultation Directive, which established new minimum standards for workforce communication and involvement, was implemented in Northern Ireland by the Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations (NI) 2005. From 6 April 2008 the Regulations will be extended to include undertakings that employ between 50 - 99 employees.The attached booklet provides general guidance on the Information and consultation Regulations. Copies of the legislation are available from Her Majesty's Stationery Office and may be accessed from their website at www.hmso.gov.uk
