Lifelong Learning
Summary:
This paper sets out the government’s policy on Lifelong Learning following the consultation on the Green Paper "The Learning Age". The Green Paper outlined a set of interlocking proposals, aimed at: Creating a culture where continued lifelong learning is the normal pattern. Improving the United Kingdom’s international competitiveness through increasing general skills levels, and meeting the skills needs of the future. Helping individuals of all ages, background and abilities to enhance their employability in a rapidly changing economy. Developing individuals’ self-fulfilment through their achievements. These proposals are entirely complementary and inter-dependent.
