About the Skills Conference 2007
The Department for Employment and Learning's second Annual Skills Conference took place in Belfast's Waterfront Hall on 15 May 2007 with the theme of 'Skills for Innovation', with over 260 attending the event.
In one of his first speeches since taking up the post, the Minister for Employment and Learning, Sir Reg Empey, MLA, outlined his commitment to implementing Success Through Skills, Northern Ireland's first comprehensive framework for the development of skills, produced by the Department for Employment and Learning.
