Announcement of new Chair

The Future Skills Action Group for Hospitality and Tourism is delighted to announce that it has appointed a new Chairman.

Stephen Magorrian, Managing Director, of Botanic Inns Ltd has taken up the reins after Howard Hastings stepped down from the role on 24 March this year.

The FSAG achieved a great deal under Howard's leadership, with a number of key issues facing the sector being identified.  The Group is now close to finalising a 12 month Action Plan which will address many of these challenges.

The Minister for Employment and Learning, Sir Reg Empey, has welcomed the skills that Stephen will bring to the table and is confident that he will lead the Group to achieve much in the future.

The group is in the process of finalising an Action Plan for the next academic year. This will be launched in the Autumn 2009.
