A number of Suppliers have been contracted to deliver training in a variety of occupational areas and Industry Approved Training Frameworks.
From September 2008 all-age apprenticeships are available on a full-framework basis to both existing and newly recruited employees.

NOTE: On the 26 May 2009, Sir Reg Empey, Minister for Employment and Learning, announced measures to assist those apprentices within the manufacturing industry who have been placed on short time working. The scheme entitled ‘Skillsafe’ has been created to help apprentices affected by the economic downturn and to ensure that any ‘down time’ they may have is used to their advantage.
