CITB Construction Skills Northern Ireland
CITB ConstructionSkills NI is the only remaining statutory Industrial Training Board (ITB) in Northern Ireland; it is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) reporting to the Department for Employment and Learning. The Board has statutory responsibility for “The encouragement of adequate training of persons employed in or intending to be employed in the construction industry” in Northern Ireland.
Sectoral Development aims to support the Board in identifying and meeting skills needs. It monitors CITB ConstructionSkills NI projects to ensure value for money and also to ensure that government guidelines relating to NDPBs are complied with.
