The New Deal for Lone Parents (NDLP) is a voluntary programme designed specifically to help lone parents aged 16 or over who are not working, or who are working less than 16 hours per week, and who have sole responsibility for the care of a child(ren) under the age of 16.

The assistance available includes:

Lone Parents will work closely with their New Deal Personal Adviser who will arrange for them to receive any practical help that they might need such as advice on training or education, help with job applications or writing a CV.
